Electric Resistance
Efficiency

Electric resistance heating is generally considered to be 100% efficient, and, just because its site efficiency is 100% does not necessarily mean it is inexpensive to operate. Electricity is such a highly refined form of energy, it can be more expensive per BTU than many other forms of energy like geothermal, oil, gas or coal.
